Johnny Depp‘s ex Ellen Barkin shared details into their past relationship as a part of the actor’s ongoing legal battle with his second wife, Amber Heard.

On May 19, footage from Barkin’s deposition—filmed in November 2019—was played inside a Virginia courtroom amid Depp’s defamation trial against Heard. In the video, the 68-year-old actress, who appeared alongside Depp in 1998’s Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, testified that her former flame exhibited “demanding” and “controlling” behavior during their time together in the ’90s.

According to Barkin, their “purely platonic” friendship turned into a “sexual” one in 1994 when she moved to Hollywood. At that time, she and Depp saw each other three to four times a week for “several months,” she said.

“He was just a jealous man,” Barkin testified, explaining that Depp would asked her, “Where are you going? Who are you going with? What did you do last night?”

At one point in their relationship, Barkin claimed that Depp got “very, very angry” over a scratch on her back because “he insisted it came from me having sex with a person who hasn’t him.” She added that it was “very common” for the Pirates of the Caribbean star to get jealous.

Grey said Depp proposed to her in the 1980s, two weeks after they met. They picked out a ring at Tiffany & Co. in Beverly Hills and moved in together, but never walked down the aisle as the couple split nine months later.

“You have to understand Johnny Depp, 1989 Johnny Depp, so beautiful,” the actress said. “You’ve never seen a more beautiful, whoa.”

After dating Grey and Barkin—as well as fellow movie stars Winona Ryder and Kate Moss—Depp went on to welcome two kids (Lily-Rose, 22, and Jack, 20) with French actress Vanessa Paradis.

Prince William and Kate Middleton‘s recent date night featured a red carpet, high glam, and Tom Cruise.

The royal couple was dressed to the nines at the Top Gun: Maverick premiere in London’s Leicester Square on May 19.

They walked the carpet alongside the film’s star, as well as other cast members including Jennifer Connelly, Miles Teller, Lewis Pullman, and Jay Ellis.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge channeled old Hollywood with their outfits.

Kate opted for a black floor-length Roland Mouret gown with a stunning white off-the-shoulder neckline. As for her hair, the Duchess chose to keep it sleek and tidy with the front strands tucked behind her ears to show off her statement diamond earrings.

William wore a dark blue velvet blazer with black pants. But it’s the high-flying element on his shoes that caught people’s attention.

A former Royal Air Force helicopter pilot, William wore shoes embroidered with F18 planes, like the one Tom flies in the film. Speaking about William at the premiere, Tom gushed that they have “a lot in common,” according to My London.

Daredevil is the MCU’s cat with nine lives.

A new series based on attorney by day, vigilante by night Matthew Murdock (a.k.a. Daredevil) is in the works at Disney+, according to Variety

The idea for a Daredevil reboot picked up steam after Charlie Cox—who played the titular superhero in Netflix’s Daredevil for three seasons from 2015 to 2018—made a buzzy cameo in 2021’s Spider-Man: No Way Home in a scene alongside Spider-Man (Tom Holland), Happy (Jon Favreau) and Aunt May (Marisa Tomei).

In addition, Vincent D’Onofrio—who played Wilson Fisk (a.k.a. Kingpin) in the Netflix series—recently reprised the role in the Disney+ series Hawkeye.

“I was so thrilled that Kevin [Feige] asked me to come in and do [the role again],” D’Onofrio told E! News about stepping back into Kingpin. “It was very similar to when I was creating the character for Daredevil originally. It’s thrilling. I’m sure my reaction was very similar to how you would react if they asked you.”

Well, if you ask us, all of these dots are lining up pretty well for Daredevil fans!

Sir David Attenborough looked younger than his 96 years as the veteran broadcaster attended the premiere of his groundbreaking AppleTV+ series Prehistoric Planet at the BFI IMAX in Waterloo on Wednesday.

The naturalist attended the launch of the five-part series, which uses CGI to recreate the dinosaurs that inhabited Earth millions of years ago.

The broadcaster looked to be in high spirits as he cut a casual look at the event.

Sir David sported a crisp white shirt which he teamed with a blue blazer, dark trousers and comfortable shoes.

The presenter arrived for the series’ launch, ahead of its release on AppleTV+ on May 23.

The show will be released in five parts, each depicting different settings where dinosaurs lived during the Late Cretaceous period, with Sir David narrating the programme.

His appearance comes just days after the on-screen broadcaster was awarded the Champions of the Earth Lifetime Achievement Award by the UN’s Environment Programme (UNEP).

Upon receiving the Lifetime Achievement Award, Sir David urged action to prevent further destruction of the planet.

It’s finally time to meet The Winchesters

The prequel series to Supernatural, the CW drama starring Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki as Dean and Sam Winchester that ran on The CW for 15 seasons from 2005 to 2020, is giving fans its first look at how Dean and Sam’s parents met.

While the show introduces an entirely new cast, there’s still a familiar voice behind things. Ackles narrates The Winchesters as his character Dean, searching for answers about his family’s past.

“The Winchester story, it’s always been a mystery,” Dean says in the trailer. “I need to uncover the truth about my parents. Was it the hunt for evil that drew them together? Or was it something more?”

To answer those questions, we travel back to 1972 and the first meeting between Dean and Sam’s parents, Mary (Meg Donnelly) and John (Drake Rodger). Mary was raised to be a demon hunter, while John was not, but they’re both on similar searches to find out information about their fathers.
